I share this because I think we live with an unconscious belief that we need some kind of formal approval from some higher authority and this is one of the biggest barriers to sharing our gifts in the world. This is what I did with a course I created called, Ayurveda For Kids. Many parents I was working with as a yoga therapist didn’t fully understand their child’s nature or how to work with nature (the 5 elements) to bring about balance in the mind and body. Though I don’t have a certificate in Ayurvedic medicine, I’ve studied it for decades, it was a part of my yoga therapy training, and I use it in my daily life. Plus, I love it! When I first went to an Ayurvedic doctor, I left in tears of frustration. I didn’t understand the seemingly conflicting advice. I wanted to prevent this frustration for my families. So, I put together a simple course that made sense of a complicated topic I was passionate about and it helped parents find more peace with their kids.
